Our client is looking for 2 Project Managers for a 12 month consulting assignment. One consultant will be based in Oakland, CA and the other consultant will be based in Sacramento, CA. Some minor travel within Northern California may be required.

Project Managers will be responsible for: organizes, analyses, and controls the activities of the project team; prepares activity and progress reports for each project. Coordinates and ensures delivery of services and support from client for NFS activities and initiatives. Responsible for detailed planning for developing schedule, budget, staffing and approach. Tracks and reports development status (schedule, budget, milestones, metrics, key events, risks and issues) to appropriate management level. Consistently supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility (clients Code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licensing requirements (if applicable), and clients policies and procedures.

Experience/Skills
Qualifications:
. Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science or related field.
. PMI certification, PMP, and experience implementing PMI/PMBOK methodology is highly preferred.
. Must have 4-7 years project management experience.
. Good working knowledge of MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint. MS Access knowledge is a plus.
. Ability to manage multiple project simultaneously. Must have experience with desktop rollouts of hardware and/or software, minor network, and telephony knowledge (departmental moves).
. Ability to maintain professional decorum and meld into a positive personality organization.
. Ability to work independent after initial instructions.
. Excellent analytical ability and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients and other IT staff.
. Demonstrated effectiveness interfacing and negotiating with clients, internal customers and vendors.
