SALARY: $5/Month

JOB DUTIES:
Responsible for activities relating to field engineering and engineering liaison. Interprets design drawings and specifications. Oversees hold point inspections, field verification of materials, equipment installation, and workmanship. Ensures results meet design requirements. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Problem resolution and inspection of field installations. Tracking and reporting installations. Interact with subcontractors to ensure compliance with project drawings and specifications. Review of subcontractor submittals (drawings, data sheets, test plans, etc.). Verifying, conducting and/or witnessing acceptance tests. Providing support for facility turnover. Providing on-going constructability input to the design group. Provide design/technical interpretation/clarification through the Request For Information process. Perform quality control inspections. Assist in the preparation of cost forecasts. Assist in the preparation and updating of construction schedules, specifications, and drawings.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Full working knowledge of construction engineering practices in multi-discipline construction operations. Demonstrated knowledge of general contractor oversight processes. Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards and design criteria pertinent to Engineering. A working knowledge of Quality Assurance/Quality Control principles. Ability to work in team environments with little supervision and multi-task. Skill in oral and written communication.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Completion of a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering/Engineering Technology and at least 5 years of experience related to field engineering for facility modifications or new construction at least 1 year nuclear experience or a registered Professional Engineering in the States of Texas or equivalent education and experienced as outlined in BWXT Pantex Alternative to DOE O 5480.20A Education & Experience Requirements. Experience with ASME NQA-1-2000, 10CFR830.122, and ISO9001 is desirable. Experience in construction and technical inspection in areas of installation and testing. Experience with engineering design or design evaluation/reviews for facility type construction projects. An active Q clearance is desirable.
