Description
The Project Specialist oversees the quality and effectiveness of services supplied by the outsourcing business partner. Additionally, the DSSM project specialist provides assistance to the Director of Applications Supplier Management in maintaining supplier performance metrics, managing resource forecasts, and establishing performance compliance synergy between other Enterprise IT service towers.
Job Responsibilities
Delivery Services Oversight (70% of Time)
  • Monitors and manages day to day Supplier delivery of Finance/Logistics production support solutions, and security/master data configuration requests.
  • Monitors supplier performance against SLA’s and takes appropriate corrective action with supplier when service levels are not met.
  • Oversees changes in service levels from BU’s and work with supplier to incorporate them into SLAs.
  • Ensures escalation of services issues with the Supplier are handled appropriately.
  • Oversees the relationship between Supplier and Business Units for all application delivery services.
  • Verifies receipt of service and invoices as requested by Supplier Management.
  • Participates in change management review and approval.
  • Facilitates any supplier recommended changes in the way services are provided that may have an impact on performance or response time.
  • Ensures adherence to Disney defined IT policies and procedures.
  • Manages timely communication of critical issues, workarounds and problem resolution, through the appropriate Communications group.
  • Identifies training gaps based on incident trends and provides recommendations to the appropriate Training group / Site Sustainment on remedial actions.
  • Addresses escalation of Finance issues from the Business Units / Site Sustainment team.
    Supplier Management (30% of Time)
    Provide assistance to the Director of Applications Supplier Management, by assisting with:
  • Tracking vendor performance against established SLAs and overseeing SLA adjustments as appropriate.
  • Managing the FTP authorization process (ARC/RRC process), facilitating approvals, and tracking history.
  • Maintaining the calendar for SLA updates and review cycles, ensuring the Supplier Management office adheres to scheduled requirements, reviews, and updates.
  • Working with vendor representatives to establish wording, calculations, and reporting on new SLAs as established by the Director of Applications Supplier Management.
  • Working with other Supplier Management representatives in TWDC (SMO, Infrastructure Supplier Management, etc.) to ensure synergy and synchronization of efforts dealing with vendors.
    Qualifications
  • BA or BS degree (MA, MBA highly desired)
  • 5+ years of progressive IT and/or business experience.
  • Up to three years business analyst/consulting experience
  • Should have a grasp of project management principles, concepts, and methods.
  • Experience working with suppliers in an outsourced IT environment highly desired
