Position: This person will prepare graphics for disparate proposal efforts for the ACS, TSG Proposal Center.
Education: The specific degrees in the areas shown below are not absolutely required, but would provide the type education needed.
BA or BS preferably in graphic arts.
Experience: Two to four years experience in proposal or other time-critical schedule-driven publishing operations is required. Should have worked in a time-sensitive environment requiring preparation of multiple graphic inputs in conjunction with explanatory written material leading to preparation of large documents where adherence to schedule is paramount. Editing skills of graphic information required. Should be knowledgeable at very high levels in the use of computer systems, graphic art software, and desktop publishing software.
Job Approach:
· Must be methodical in the approach to problems. Requires extensive cooperation with others. Requires extensive graphics preparation skills.
· Since proposal production and specifically graphic content is a creative but time sensitive endeavor the successful candidate must exhibit on-time on-task talents necessary to work with others in preparing art work and providing version control for graphics in multiple large-scale schedule-driven efforts (e.g., proposals, newsroom editing, etc.).
Position Responsibilities:
· Generate proposal art and graphics from hand drawn sketches and/or writer's oral guidance using computer software packages.
· Control the art generation and graphic version control processes of assigned proposals.
· Perform special formatting and page and document layout generation tasks using high-end graphic and desktop publishing software.
· Design and build covers and other special graphic art pieces.
Working Conditions: Minimum travel may be required.
