Description
  • A central Florida organization is seeking a Proposal and Product Manager.
  • The company develops a computer aided dispatch system that provides sound, optimized train movement plans that give dispatchers the necessary information to plan railroad schedules.
  • The system delivers all the features expected from a modern computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system, including: GUI, real-time movement planning, plan-based automated train routing, monitoring /control of wayside devices (signals, switches, etc.) data storage and retrieval, and playback.
  • The hired individual will assess the global market for services and derivative products/services and work with the development team, the sales force, & customers to identify future offerings and market opportunities.
  • Provide support to pricing.
  • Support industry shows and publications.
  • Immediate tasks include supporting industry shows, packaging and pricing and leading proposal activities.
  • Work w / sales force to increase awareness of their offerings.

    Experience/Skills
  • Mandatory: BS/BA Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business and at least 10 yrs commercial management experience marketing software systems.
  • Ability to work w / cross functional teams including engineering, sales, strategic marketing, and customers.
  • Must have big program rollout experience and experience managing large teams.
  • Must have solid project management skills

  • Preferred requirements: MS degree; railroad/transportation experience; Six-Sigma Green Belt
