CDI Business Solutions has an contract to hire position with one of our premier companies in Rolling Meadows, Illinois for a Publishing Systems Support Specialists/Systems provide user support and training for current and future platforms and operating systems. Systems specialists help investigate new technology and tools. They work closely with team members to establish new processes for reducing costs and improve overall systems efficiency, help guide user groups on best practices related to systems and tools, and troubleshoot potential user problems. Must have User Support and Training: Provides user support and training for current and future platforms and operating systems. Helps investigate new technology and tools and participates in testing as needed. Monitors and responds to user tickets; troubleshoots potential user problems. Must have expert-level proficiency in multiple browser engines, operating systems, and platforms, and in dual system usage (Macintosh and PC); understanding of how to use technology/systems to improve work processes and solve problems. Familiarity with or proficiency in using Adobe, InCopy/InDesign, and scripting techniques (Apple, XML)are required. Must also have at least 3 years of user support experience involving multiple platforms and operating systems, at least 3 years of experience in training nontechnical users on applications and systems, and a Bachelor’s degree.
