Description
Each Quality Assurance Analyst will be expected to adhere to established standard operating procedures of the System Support Process as defined by the client
The work efforts to be performed consist of the following tasks:

* Responsible for the development of requirement specification documents to identify and document business requirements and objectives for initiating software modifications of the Client system. The Quality Assurance Analyst may serve as part of a project team or independent project lead.
* Review program specification documents in order to validate the technical accuracy of the documents.
* Responsible for ensuring modifications made to system conforms to Client business requirements and operations.
* Review of the Logical System Design Document (LSDD) of Client system to validate the accuracy of the documents.
* Reviews system design documents, revalidates previously defined business processes, and defines acceptance test criteria.
* Review and make recommendations to Client Management regarding the technical solutions proposed by programming staff for enhancements to the Client system.
* Review the COBOL Source Code to ensure the accuracy of the software modification.
* Review the IMS databases to ensure that data are accurately being processed and stored in the Client System Database.
* Allocate and create test data files using Interactive System Productivity Facility (ISPF) in order to test the effectiveness of the software modifications.
* Reviews the requirements and design documentation and develops test scenarios, test scripts, test conditions and test data. Develops and defines specific test metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status.
* Executes acceptance testing and documents results to determine that (1) the business requirements established for the software project have been satisfied and (2) software defects do not exist in the application code associated with the software project.
* Collects and analyzes test data for software process evaluation and improvements. Submits test results for review and approval, analyzes the results of the test and documents test scenarios, test scripts and test conditions. Documents all problems and assists in their resolution.
* Delivers quality process to technical staff and acts as internal quality consultant.
