QA Analyst/Linux/SuSE10

This person will be responsible for test plan development, maintenance, and execution while leading test cycles for system, regression, and final acceptance testing. Accurate defect tracking and resolution is required for GUI, database, and Middleware testing. In addition, this person will also be responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of the QA test lab in support of all testing activities. This person should be able to juggle the activities of multiple projects while working in a team environment with developers, project managers, and product managers to ensure the timely delivery of quality products into production.

MAIN DUTIES/TASKS:
The QA Test Analyst will be accountable for, but not limited to, the following areas:
Write and maintain test plans from Product Requirements Documents, Systems Requirement Specifications and review meetings with engineering.
Insure software quality by executing test plans in a timely and efficient manner.
Defect reporting and tracking to include defect reviews with engineering team.
Setup, configure and maintain QA test lab and equipment made up of PCs, Sun Blades/Netras, and Linux boxes using Oracle databases.
The installation of operating systems, databases and Web Server components along with ensuring network connectively between each server.
Develop and execute load/stress test cases.
Must be efficient in MS Office, Unix, Linux, Load/Stress Testing, and Defect Tracking Tools.

The position will involve the following:

- Build out Sun box w/SuSE10/Oracle11 image (Use TTV install process)
- Network the Sun box for test
- Install/configure AMS Lite software
- Build Test Plan (use existing test cases/add test cases)

Testing will involve a mix of application and load testing.
(No automation planned for now)

They have an existing product called AMS.

'AMS Lite' is a scaled down version of AMS.

Basically 'AMS Lite' will.

- Take a 'package' file that consists of an mpeg/xml file
- Encrypt the mpg
- Validate the XML metadata
- Change the XML metadata
- Export 'updated' package off to OpenStream (End VoD system to stream
content out on)

So candidate would have to have a good grounding of:
- Linux (install/configure)
- Oracle PL/SQL (to troubleshoot dB issues)
- Application/Load Testing
