Job Requirement:BUSINESS OVERVIEW : Global Portfolio Management owns and manages corporate loan portfolios in Japan, Europe and North America GPM's mission is to maximize returns and optimize the use of credit capital and is focused on maximizing returns by controlling risk and minimizing economic capital,rather than by generating incremental revenue. Loans in the portfolio include Syndicated loans and bilateral loans.Business Areas: GPM owns and manages the corporate loan portfolio in Japan,Europe, North America and the Emerging Markets Technologies: C, C++, Oracle, Java, TIB/RV, CORBA (Orbix), Sybase, Oracle,J2EE (WebLogic) We have adopted an enterprise approach to manage and insure that proper control processes are followed for these platforms. As part of this process,we are creating a separate team to handle all QA/QC functions and provide a new level of development service, which is currently not in place. This particular role is for a HANDS-ON senior QA Analyst with a strong background in Software Testing and QC processes and has led a number of large scale testing initiatives with various applications and services teams and business. This person will be asked to assist in the development of new QC /Testing procedures while managing QC efforts relative to ongoing project work. DEVELOPMENT (WHAT WILL YOU LEARN BY DOING THIS JOB) .How to manage the QC efforts for large and complex real-timeenterprise platforms for a very strategic business franchise. Ability to work on macro level as well and working through thedetails You will develop relationships with business and technologystakeholders. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The following are key responsibility for this role: .Coordinate QA project(s) that are part of GPM Engagement Initiatives.Develop QC estimates for project managers supporting Credit Marketsbusiness .Engage in all aspects of the QC requirements all the way throughtesting and production implementation. Develop test plan/scripts/cases based upon business requirements andprocesses, in line with Citigroup standards..Develop, execute and validate tests for integration, regression andperformance testing. Ensure the proper integration of components and infrastructure..Assist in designing and ensuring overall integrity of the testingstrategy. Assist Application Developers and technical support staff inidentifying and resolving problems. .Facilitate resolution and communication ofcross-application/organization architectural issues and decisions. Assess and revise test sequence and scope based upon test results and/or changes in product design. .Coordinate component, system and documentation testing with theappropriate technical groups and Release Management..Document test procedures and findings. .Reconcile test results and present deviation of product/projectperformance based upon test results and product specifications to projectmanager. KEY CHALLENGES .Developing key business knowledge in a short timeframe, Working to quickly implement new processes and procedures to shorten time to market, .Working with other groups within the organizations to leverageexisting processes and methodologies. .Understanding project guidelines that are already in place andworking with team members to make improvements without necessarily making wholesale changes. EXPECTED OUTCOMES (WHAT WILL "SUCCESS" LOOK LIKE IN 12 MONTHS) .Established role of the QC Analyst as key member of the project team.Improved delivery rate for Credit Market projects .Quantifiable methods to measuring defects .Reduction of defects introduced into the system and orderlyreduction of existing defects. CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS .In-depth understanding of software development life cycle .Minimum 5 years of Applications development or quality assurancetesting experience required..Experience creating and implementing test environments for aclient-server or distributed system involving relational databases.Experience creating detailed test plans/scripts/cases for technicaland/or business clients..Strong experience with various testing methods, including regressiontesting, automated testing tools (i.e. Test Director, QTP, Win Runner)..Knowledge of testing methodology.Well organized and process oriented individual .Excellent Analytical skills - Ability to work on macro levels aswell as details when needed .Quick learner with affinity for continuous improvements .Ability to work with various levels of technology & businessmanagement .Excellent people &df-tc
