Senior QA Analyst will write and execute automated test scripts for functional and load/performance testing using the Mercury product suite. This role involves an acute sense of attention to detail.

Must be able to analyze and interpret business processes, use cases and/or application requirements into detailed automated functional test cases.

Must have experience with Mercury's Quick Test Professional and Quality Center or Test Director.

Assist in defining and documenting practices and standards for automated testing both performance and functional.

Assist projects in determining the need for load and stress testing; provide effective alternatives.

Provide hands-on technical and analytical expertise in all the phases of automated testing to a variety of testing projects.

Develop automated test tool presentations and training materials; give presentations, and conduct classes and workshops.

Required Skills:

This candidate should possess good technical skills (not just executing/conducting performance tests, but also writing LoadRunner/Performance Center scripts/scenarios)

Experience mentoring or training.

5+ years Quality Assurance related experience across the application development lifecycle.

Technical expertise in Mercury testing tools MUST include TestDirector/Quality Center, LoadRunner/Performance Center, and WinRunner or QuickTest Pro is essential.

Experience with formal testing methodologies & rigorous test processes a must.

Hands-on experience with all phases of automated performance testing including test strategy development, test plan construction, script design/recording/execution, and results analysis/documentation.

Experience in troubleshooting performance problems, performance tuning and capacity planning is desirable.

This position requires excellent verbal & written skills; experience giving presentations and conducting training is highly desirable.

Candidate must be a resourceful, proactive, detail oriented, self-starter; able to work alone & as a team player in a dynamic environment with multiple tasks & deadlines.

Progress and Unix Scripting is a strong plus!

Baccalaureate degree with major in Computer Science, Finance or Economics Highly desired
Manual/automated testing experience Required
Automated testing experience with Quicktest Pro Required Preformance and load testing experience with Perforce or Loadrunner Required
Progress programming experience Nice to have
Interface experience Highly desired
Experience with MUNIS software Highly desired
Integration testing Highly desired
