Duties and responsibilitiesDevelop, publish, implement, and maintain test plans based on overall project requirementsResearch and evaluate various testing toolsCoordinate software releases and related issues with Development, QA, Operations, and the Support CentreProvide assistance in determining bugs and weaknesses in the production environment.Provide 2nd level support to Operations, 3rd level support to Support Centre.Report, document, and track software issuesDocument test results and provide status reports on a weekly basis
Required Skills and EducationThe following skills are a must:3+ years QA testing experienceExcellent organizational, written and verbal communication skillsMust be able to adapt quickly to changing prioritiesMust be a team player but able to work independently with minimal supervision and work under tight deadlinesExcellent analytical skillsThe following skills are a plus:Experience in writing HTML, ASP's, Perl script, and basic command filesKnowledge of Microsoft IIS and other Web servicesKnowledge of Windows NT/2000/2003 Server productsExperience with IBM Tivoli Provisioning Manager (TPM)Experience with VantiveGeneral knowledge of market data content Proven expertise with software testing methodologies and toolsTechnical Writing experienceGood understanding of the TPC/IP protocol suite, routing, switching, and FirewallsComfortable with Linux
