Job Title: QA Engineer
Department: Markets Investment & Advisory
Project: Working on Web based application (Financial Advisory product)

*There is a possibility that the assignment can be extended until 4/30/2011. However this may not be the case. The current end date is 8/31/2010.
*Manager will be conducting Phone screens first then in person interviews.

Manager prefers local candidates. Non-local is fine as long as they can make it in-person interview if needed. They need to work out of Rockville due to the nature of the project.
*Candidate must be flexible and be able to work during the weekend if necessary.
Job Description:

Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for company products.
Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures.
Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consults with development engineers and product in resolution of problems.
Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.

The QA Functional Engineer should be able to:
handle and support dynamic schedule, multiple environments, test cycles and deployments
meet deadlines despite heavy workload
possess excellent written and oral communication skills
Specific Industry:
Financial

Additional requirements:

3-5 years QA experience
Must be a team player
MANUAL Testing
understand requirements and translate these into test cases, scenarios, procedures
knowledge of test process, test planning and reporting
calculations and business rule validation
back end testing experience
schedule tasks and deliver on time
financial services experience is a plus
familiarity with Back Office processing and/or trade management is preferred

Candidates MUST:
Be a team player
Quick Learner
Have experience with issue tracking

Nice to have:
Real time trading testing experience (Will not be doing trading)
Quality Center

Education:
Bachelor of Science (Prefers financial field)
