We have an immediate need for a Quality Control Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION
CDI is currently recruiting for our client a global provider of energy equipment and solutions for the power generation and oil gas industries. This challenging short term (2 months) contract opportunity is located at our client site in Orlando, FL.
The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of US import/export regulations.

Responsibilities:

Analyses complex production and quality trend data to identify and solve problems. Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops systems for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data. Prepares reports of findings and carries out assists in carrying out complicated implementation and training assignments. Maintains quality inspection programs for incoming, process, and final approval material and product inspections. Conducts complex audits on quality finding and assists in determining supplier that require additional quality controls.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage Wall of Shame inventory
Manage Quarantine inventory Maintain responsibility for assuring that the Quality Management System is implemented.
Manage overall responsibility for the Receiving Inspection Process.
Manage management of the Receiving Inspection Material Quarantine Area
Manage the department metrics for the Receiving Inspection Process.
Supervise four Receiving Inspection Quality Inspectors.
Coordinate training requirements for the Receiving Inspection Quality Inspectors.
Participate in required training for the Receiving Inspection Process

Travel and attend meetings as necessary concerning quality issues for Level A material.
Develop processes as necessary to ensure part quality as issues develop in any area of the business
Maintain management of the Measuring and Test Equipment Control Program for the Receiving Inspection

Experience:

8-10 years of experience in Quality Control/Engineering and has a familiarization of Siemens Energy, GE Energy, Mitsubishi Power Product lines. Also will consider anyone with 5-10 years Power Plant quality, operations and maintenance. Proven ability to manage multiple people and projects simulteously.

Direction of Others: Provides guidance and trains Quality Techs that are part of the RNA5 Quality staff. . Key Working Relationships: Primarily intra organizational contacts and external contacts as it relates to job responsibilities.
