Description
Analyzes business and/or technical requirements to formulate a testing
plan according to clients structured methodology.
Produces test plans and scripts necessary to satisfy business and/or
technical requirements.
Performs risk assessment of test designs and scenarios to mitigate risk
while still meeting required timelines.
Coordinates with technical and business resources to identify and correct
system defects that are detected during the testing activity.
Performs test analyses and issues resolutions of business and project
requirements.
Executes on-line, batch and data verification testing of the complete system
and validates test results.
Creates test designs (on-line, batch and data verification) based on
project requirements and acts in a consultant capacity for other team
members in the department on testing software techniques.
Conducts test plan reviews as needed.
Ability to use automated testing tools to create, design, and execute test
plans.
Coordinates with technical and business resources to identify and correct
system defects discovered during the testing activity.
Performs risk assessment and analysis requirements for integrated testing.

Demonstrates extensive knowledge and understanding of structured analysis
and design as it relates to the testing design activity.
Recognizes the inter-relationships between the various functional
components of the system (i.e. collections, posting, and authorizations)
and the business, technical and project requirements to determine the
appropriate testing methodology to use during test execution and
validation.
Reviews documentation such as business and technical specifications in
order to ensure that the documentation is updated and accurate.
Works on multiple tasks as necessary to meet project timelines according
to guidelines.
Communicates with manager on a regular basis regarding project
requirements, issues resolutions, etc., and disseminates information to
project sponsors, business analysts, and programmers.
Non-supervisory role.
Very high level of accountability/responsibility.

Mainframe experience (IBM 3090)
Ability to develop and implement ideas to improve process workflow
