We currently have an opening in our Vaccines QA - Systems & Facilities Department for a(n) QA Specialist III, at our Pearl River, NY facility (located on the Rockland County, NY/Bergen County, NJ border).

As a QA Specialist III, you will oversee and be responsible for the Supplier Qualification program. You will be responsible for the process including the procedures and the electronic system (SMS-SQ) from a Quality Assurance perspective. You will also interact with other sites both when Pearl River is the lead site and when Pearl River uses the supplier but is not the lead site. You will escalate supplier issues to your management. Additionally, you will work closely with other members of your team along with other groups such as the equivalent positions in the other divisions on site and procurement. You will review Manufacturing/Engineering/Quality related documentation to ensure compliance with global regulatory agencies. You will independently execute projects and analyze, interpret and present data to the supervisor. You will interact with the supervisor on overall project goals and at the start and end of projects. You will contribute substantially to the interpretation of results and the design of follow-up studies. You will be able to perform more complex project reviews related to compliance issues, audits, or product complaints. You will investigate and troubleshoot routine technical problems noted during audits, as a result of product complaints or during projects/studies/reviews. You will also review documentation and reports to ensure compliance with global regulatory guidelines.

You must have a BS degree with 6+ years of relevant experience or an MS degree with 4+ years of relevant experience. You must have reached a high level of compliance expertise and experience. You will be recognized by colleagues as a resource for compliance issues (product investigations, audit responses, annual product reviews, and certification). You must be aware of new methodologies pertinent to the Quality function area and must be able to introduce them with supervisory input. You must have received training in cGMP, relevant regulatory guidelines, and internal Wyeth policies and procedures.
