Description
The responsibilities associatated with this role include 1) Preparing the mainframe test environments; 2)Maintaining the test environments; and 3) Owning the execution and monitoring of a large test batch flow of



1)Preparing the mainframe test environments: Refresh the environment by clearing out old data and then copying newly requested test data into the environment. Execute a shakedown batch and complete all CA7 and Express Delivery changes.



2) Maintain the environment: Resolve issues related to test data, CICS, and DB2. Coordinate with application and operations support groups.



3) Own the execution and monitoring of a large test batch flow: Execute the daily mainframe test batch in development or QA environments. Escalate to development teams and management as necessary. Document abends and other issues and send out a daily batch status report.df-tc

Experience/Skills
The successful applicant will have the following:

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Sciences, Business Administration or related field.

A minimum of 5 years experience in a mainframe computer environment, with proven expertise working with JCL, COBOL, CA7, DB2, VSAM, Changeman, CICS, Eztrieve and Fileaid,

Ability to demonstrate strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications aptitude while interacting with development, operations and business teams.

The ability to work with minimal supervision and the confidence to take risks and to make sound decisions under tight timeframes, escalating appropriately as required.

Knowledge of the Credit Card Industry would be a strong plus.
