We are currently seeking an individual to perform the following job duties for one of our clients in the financials industry:
Summary
FHRS Regression Test Team for HR Payroll is looking for a QA Assurance/Test Engineer experienced with the Oracle HRMS Application. The job would include running payrolls for the HR Payroll monthly release, balancing payrolls, and testing the Payroll functionality via the web and the HRMS back-ends. This position requires good communication skills, the ability to work under the pressure of deadlines, and the mind-set to challenge the status quo and offer more efficient and effective ways to accomplish payroll testing.


Responsibilities
Running payrolls via Control M to verify that payrolls have not been adversely affected by new code being added for the monthly release
Timing and balancing payrolls
Executing tests to verify the HRMS back-end functionality: new hires, terminations, adding and deleting elements, quick pays, voiding checks, balance adjustments, etc
Participating in the Year End testing project
Evaluating, researching, and reporting defects, application issues, and test environment issues
Appropriate escalation of critical issues in a timely fashion.

Experience/Skills
Qualifications
Working knowledge of Oracle HRMS, version 11.0 and 11i required
Payroll processing knowledge
Experience creating and executing test cases
Experience with Test Director is a plus
Ability to network, gather and communicate necessary information in written, verbal, and electronic formats
Knowledge of Microsoft software packages
Knowledge of SQL
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities
Experience with the Kintana applications is a plus
College degree preferred
