Job Description:

This is for a short-term contract opportunity 8 weeks based in Conway Arkansas

The main thing they are looking for is solid automated testing experience.

The performance tester is responsible for creating, executing and analyzing performance test cases. They are required to understand the performance profiles of multiple applications and architectures, and leverage that knowledge to drive out performance testing requirements and craft performance test cases. The tester will leverage a suite of tools to design, execute, monitor and analyze performance tests.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute thorough performance test plans in a timely and efficient manner for all areas of the product
Analyze complex production performance metrics to create accurate performance models
Provide detailed analysis of performance tests
Leverage knowledge of complex, high-volume, high-availability architectures to identify performance defects and improvement opportunities
Quickly adapt to new situations and leverage a variety of resources to creatively craft testing scenarios to performance models
Review and analyze Functional Specifications and/or related documentation for the software product
Demonstrate that the applications can withstand or recover appropriately from failure or high pressure points/periods and that they are not adversely affecting other components in a shared infrastructure.
Develop and implement performance testing standards, processes, and controls
Continually research new and emerging technologies and incorporate that knowledge into the performance testing/QA process

Qualifications:

BS/BA in computer science or computer engineering required
3+ years previous QA/performance testing experience
Knowledge of software QA processes and methodologies
Knowledge of QA Tools and Applications e.g. Mercury LoadRunner, CompuWare CARS, etc.
Possess general understanding in the areas of application programming, database, and system design
Understand web-based and client/server architectures
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem solving skills
Desire to be part of a highly productive, fast-paced team
Organized and detail-oriented personality
Understanding and comfort in working in a Linux environment
Thorough understanding of testing methodologies associated with Functional, Integration, Regression, Performance, Migration/Operational Readiness
