Description
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

* Evaluates new or modified software programs to verify that programs function requirements and conform to established guidelines.
* Analyzes complex software defects including database errors, software configuration, and hardware configuration errors on single user and network platforms.
* Allocates resources to test applications software for defects, accuracy, specifications and reports errors and defects, retesting when corrected.
* Utilize organizational skills in planning their own work and the work of others.
Completes all tasks within the scheduled timeframe or presents valid reasons why additional time is required.
* Test assigned areas thoroughly and extensively so a limited amount of supervision is necessary in their area.
* Reports clearly on assigned tasks. Recognizes and alerts management of any important problems/issues in advance. Effectively prioritizes their work; ability to distinguish important issues and less important in order to allocate their work.
* Works effectively on assignments with little supervision; makes accurate judgments on quality of an assigned area; has confidence in their decisions and knowledge.
