Description
Job Summary:

Responsible for testing fixes and enhancements and new software for in-house software applications in support of the software development process.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Evaluate and test new or modified applications, components, documentation, diagrams and flowcharts prior to release.
2. Design and execute test cases using automated testing tools on a distributed based platform. Define and execute system tests and design test cases and tools to test the internal functions of the system.
3. Write and revise testing standards and procedures to continually improve the quality of projects implemented. Evaluate and test different data communications methods.
4. Identify problems and recommend enterprise-wide solutions and improvements for complex and high risk projects. Analyze performance data and provide management reports on the effectiveness of the quality assurance system.
5. Maintain a repository of all quality records such as defects, issues, review findings and improvement opportunities.
6. Verify that applications meet end user requirements as well as technical production requirements.
7. Perform in cross-functional and matrixed teams; work with Application Developers to troubleshoot issues that arise with testing applications and to comprehend business user functional process.
8. Foster team success by participating in the training of new analysts. Mentor, direct and check the work of other analysts.
9. Ensure follow-through on all directives, bulletins and schedules from the corporate office. Maintain a good flow of communication with corporate office, regional managers and other subsidiaries within the corporation.
10. Monitor and ensure compliance with all contractual customer, contractors and supplier agreements.

Job Qualifications:

Education and Experience: Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree required. Two (2) to three (3) years experience in manual software testing in a client server or web based environment or similar experience utilizing one or more of the following technologies required: PL/SQL, ASP, .net, XML and SQL.

Three (3) or more years experience in an IT or business setting required. Strong knowledge of project management, quality assurance and system development methodologies along with a good understanding of relational database concepts and their object interactions.
Machines, tools, equipment: Standard office equipment including telephones, computers, keyboards, laptop, calculators, facsimile machines, etc.

Licenses, certifications: Diplomas/certificates consistent with education/training completed.df-tc
