Description
You will work on-site at customer location in Crystal City, VA. Good, supportive customer team, friendly working environment. Office of the Undersectary of Defense (OUSD)/AT&L/Defense Systems/Systems Engineering/Assessments and Support (A&S). A&S provides help to DoD acquisition programs in the form of program assessments, acting as the omsbudman for the program. A&S also is committed to assisting senior OSD leadership in making sound milestone decisions and improving the DAB decision making process. A&S serves as the DoD Best Practices clearinghouse and, as such, identifies and recommends best practices through the information gained doing assessments. Support to the A&S office by NGIT primarily involves providing analytical, adminitstrative and logistical support to A&S in conducting DoD program reviews, TEMP/TES reviews, DAES revies and SEP preparation. The program reviews help the programs determine issues and risks that will or may impede program success and help the program by identifying get-well recommendations.

This position involves supporting the program support teams by analyzing and reviewing relevant program databases to extract and categorize information that will aid the teams in doing program reviews as well as updating tracking sheets and Quad charts used for tracking program review status. Also, the candidate will assist in performing some of the internal A&S office processes such as preparing formal correspondence packages, coordinating team travel schedules and making travel arrangements and ensuring that the team have the supplies and materials necessary to operate.

Job Qualifications Required Skills:- Good communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonnel coordination skills- Working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (primarily, Word, Excel and Powerpoint)- Proficient in navigating the personal computer, using email and electronic calendar- Demonstrated ability to learn new skills and processes fairly easily- Focus on providing high quality product and services to an energetic customer in a fast paced environment Desired Skills: Knowledge of the DoD acquisition community structure and/or processes not required for this level but very helpful.
