Position Summary:
Looking for "self-managed" and highly motivated Quality Assurance Engineers to design, develop, execute and debug advanced web/hosted application test cases and scripts. Find bugs, defects, and regressions. Verify fixes. Validate and document completion of testing and development.

Responsibilities Include:
Development of Quality Assurance documentation
Creation & maintenance of manual and automated test cases
Execution of test cases on several platform and browser combinations
Clearly & concisely report bugs/defects as they are discovered
Provide daily status on overall test execution progress
Monitor and escalate test and launch blocking issues
Lead daily or semi-weekly bug scrub/triage meetings
Regularly provide levels of effort and communicate scheduling status to product leadership
Maintain daily record of test execution results

Technical Ability:
Experience developing unit and functional tests for network communications technology including terrestrial to satellite data transmission and reception, data packet loss recovery, and transmitted file integrity.
Competent in automation test case development and execution using industry standard automation software packages.
Uses advanced functional/exploratory/ad-hoc testing knowledge associated with bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 plus years experience in quality assurance/control in a commercial software development environment.
Serves as an internal expert; has in-depth knowledge of QA tools, work procedures, and the online industry
Learns and understands information quickly.
Identifies, tracks, and follows through to ensure bugs/defects are corrected.
Possesses working knowledge of both current Macintosh & PC operating systems
Able to understand interdependencies and relationships among many software components and between several software products.
Proficient in Windows Workstation, Windows Server, and Unix/Linux platforms
Fundamental understanding of Visual Studio Pro, HPs Quality Center, bug logging and tracking software, HTTP tracing Tools, data transmission tracing tools
Desired, but not required, proficiency in video QC & Xytech systems

Leadership & Domain Expertise:
May serve as a QA project lead.
Researches, presents and makes recommendations on technical issues.
Makes decisions regarding own work; makes recommendations in regard to department.
Maintains solid relationship with internal and external clients and vendors.
Keep up-to-date on QA training and methodologies.
Foresees potential errors before they happen.
Interacts internally/externally on a daily basis to achieve department/work unit goals and initiatives.
Articulates opinions and helps guide work unit.
Communicates and mentors other team members and possibly cross-team members.
Takes initiative to involve other groups/members of the organization outside of their respective work unit.

Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science desired or equivalent development experience

Candidates can be from following markets:
1. Southern Arizona (Tucson & surrounding areas) - Will work remotely
2. Denver Colorado - Will either work in office OR remotely
