We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer for contract with an initial term of 6 months.


Summary
A quality assurance engineer works with business analysts and program developers to design, develop and execute test plans to ensure that new and enhanced applications will satisfy business requirements.

The QA team is responsible for batch, online and transmission testing, QA and systems management of lines of business. The applications vary from mainframe batch to web based imaging platforms. Our applications are highly visible and must be tested and delivered in a timely manner. Candidates will be responsible for the overall management of the test efforts for assigned projects. They will provide test schedule, strategy, risks, issues dependencies and assumptions and communicate test status to project lead and the project team. Candidates should posses several of the following identified:

Experience/Skills
. Identify technology exceptions & evaluates impact.
Develops Test Strategy including test data, traceability matrix, test tool,
automation and test environment requirements.
Participates in AIP, SRA, SDS, and TSD reviews ensuring testable requirements.
Raises exceptions, risks and issues and recommends mitigating actions.
Ensures that Test Plans are developed and executed for each of the planned test
stages in accordance with the Test Strategy.
Defines and maintains Test Design Methods, naming standards.
Participates in requirements, design and code reviews and reviews of other key
development and test artifacts.
Applies systematic Test Design techniques toward the design of effective test
cases.
Conducts risk analysis, translates requirements, use cases and workflow models
into effective test designs, creates test cases, and secures test data.
Drives traceability across the project ensuring adequate test coverage.
Collaborates with other Test Engineers to develop test plans, execute tests,
analyze test results and track and report coverage.
