Description

ROLE:

For the most part, QA will be turning over the bug fixing to the developers. These White Box testers will be extending our test harnesses so they will need to have a strong development background preferably C#, Visual C++ or JAVA.

  • Write and maintain test harnesses.
  • Develop and execute automated tests using the selected tool, which will likely require programming in C# or C++, or JAVA, or some Scripting language.
  • Perform code and system design reviews with the development team.
  • Train QA Testers and developers to write tests using your test harnesses and test beds.
  • Spear-head the creation of unit tests and development testing.
  • Teach how to write good unit tests to experienced C# developers and evangelize their use.

REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in software quality assurance
  • Experience writing Test Harnesses.
  • Experience with PERL or Visual Basic
  • C#, JAVA or C++ programming experience
  • Experience writing Junit/NUNIT and/or CUnit/CppUnit/CppUnitLight tests.
  • Strong hands-on experience writing QA test plans and test cases while executing them.
  • Expert in QA methodologies, procedures & documentation.
  • Have in-depth understanding of object-oriented principles and design concepts as well as the ability to apply them in solving real problems.
  • Understand and be prepared to deal with the challenges of working on a mission critical system

PREFERRED:

  • Familiarity with FITNESSE
  • Familiarity with QTP
  • Familiarity of FIX protocol and AEGIS
  • Strong technical knowledge of MS Windows, Unix/Linux and related infrastructure
  • Knowledge of finance and/or experience within the financial services industry
