The QA Manager oversees the QA Unit for the NH MMIS, FAO. The QA Unit has responsibility for quality assurance efforts and contractual standard compliance. The QA Unit will also be responsible for selecting the review sample, and validating the accuracy of the data from the resulting sample, and reports directly to the Deputy Account Manager. The unit will work with the leaders of each operational unit within the FAO to monitor adherence to NH DHHS approved procedures and performance standards, as well as compliance with Federal and State Medicaid guidelines, and HIPAA rules.

MAJOR POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the QA Unit responsible for a variety of project support and control functions including QA, and MMIS Report Card production.

Create work plans, procedure manuals, and other required documentation within aggressive completion schedules.

Work with the NH DHHS and all NH FAO operational units to establish standards for quality performance and thorough quality reporting procedures.

Provide the DHHS with the reporting of the Performance Standards

Provide active leadership for the staff of the QA Unit

Provide updates of any system problems that will impact the validation of audits

Ensure policies and procedures are implemented and followed consistently

Ensure stated quality objectives are consistently achieved project-wide

Develop the professional skills and FAO understanding of the QA Unit

Assist the Deputy Account Manager in the monitoring and administration of the NH FAS as requested

Perform other related tasks to assist the Operations Group in meeting performance requirements

Assure QA Unit goals and objectives are met

Coordinate and conduct training for the QA Unit staff an on-going basis

Conduct performance evaluations of all QA Auditors


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree in Business (or related subject).

Minimum 3 years experience in MMIS QA Management or MMIS Operations Management position, or 4 years in QA Supervisory

Ability to use good judgment under pressure to resolve/mediate problems without delay or unnecessary or undue adverse impact to internal and external clients.

Ability to communicate effectively with internal/external personnel both verbally and in writing; considerable interface by phone and/or in person with internal users, external customers and vendors; necessitates tact and clear communication skills to secure/facilitate appropriate action and/or to marshal resources.

Ability to motivate team to achieve consistent levels of quality work.

Ability to work on multiple projects and independently and provide leadership to staff.

Demonstrated strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.

Considerable interface by telephone and/or in-person with internal users, external customers, and external vendors necessitates tact and strong verbal communication skills.

Excellent attendance (prompt and dependable). Willing to work necessary hours to accomplish assigned tasks.

Ability to analyze data, determine needs, implement solutions, and track results

Experience using personal computers (Microsoft Office Suite preferred), calculator, and other office equipment
