POSITION TITLE: Quality Assurance Supervisor
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO: Shop Manager
ASSIGNED LOCATION: Virginia Beach, VA - AIT

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Develop, revise and maintain quality assurance and testing documents and procedures. Assist the technicians and mechanics in the inspections and testing.

GENERAL DUTIES:
Use manufacturers manuals, drawings and other technical documentation to develop QA and test procedures to ensure work is accomplished in a quality manner for the proper and safe operation of systems and components.

Maintain QA records by task and job in accordance with the NAVSEA approved QA manual.

Knowledgeable and trained in safe work practices. Able to supervise pull, weight and equipment testing.

Read and interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings and instructions.

Assist in executing QA and test procedures. Basic weld and fitup inspection ability.

MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Define test requirements, setup and operate test equipment including dynamometers and strain gages, Familiar with calipers, micrometers and hydrostatic test gear.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

CARRYING and LIFTING. Ability to transport and lift up to 30 lbs.

WALKING and CLIMBING. Ability to climb up to four (4) flights of stairs.

Must have a valid drivers license in the state and must to comply with Companys Safety Policy.
