Quality Assurance Tester-Lead

Role Description:


Applicant will be a member of the Account Management Brokerage Information Technology staff supporting clients business units, through leadership of integrated testing and user acceptance testing support for a series of business applications to support opening and maintaining Brokerage accounts. The Quality Assurance Lead acts as a liaison between the business and IT testing resources and provides oversight and leadership for all testing activities. The resource will oversee development of testing strategies, high level test plans, and detailed test scripts and will work with partners to identify and manage test data and test schedules. Resource will be responsible for producing, distributing, and representing test metrics within the project team, to interface partners, to business representatives, to senior management, and in coordination with the Program Management Office (PMO). Resource will participate in test preparation deliverables and test execution when necessary to meet timelines and ensure quality artifacts are produced.



Required Skillet:

Strengths in determining, documenting, and leading test planning and execution. Ability to facilitate test planning and metrics sessions across multiple groups and document clear, accurate test deliverables. Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously. Above average English communication skills encompassing both written and oral, with an ability to discuss very technical issues with non technical people. Bachelors degree in Business, Math, Engineering, Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent data analysis and quality assurance experience. Strong problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities. Strong quantitative and analytical skills. 8+ years of related quality assurance experience including, but not limited to academia, consulting, financial services or information technology industries. Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities. Candidates possessing the following are preferred, knowledge of querying tools such either desktop or Mainframe is desired. Extensive experience in large scale Web technology projects involving C#/.NET using SQL/Oracle databases is preferred. Extensive project experience developing deliverables using formal SDLC practices is a requirement. Microsoft Office; Quality Center; TTS/BETA Mainframe (recommended)

Business Knowledge Needed:
Brokerage or financial business knowledge (2+ year Brokerage industry experience preferred) along with associated technologies and Data Modeling experience, knowledge of Oracle, DB2 or MS SQL is also preferred
