Quality Engineer

Position Description:
Responsibilities:

• Develop test cases, test plans, test matrices, and test suites for various components of client's products, primarily our Datawarehouse products.
• Primary focus will be on Datawarehouse products.
• Execute black-box and white-box tests, report results, and coordinate test execution efforts.
• Work closely with development engineers and product and project management to help identify and isolate problem areas in the product.
• Ensure all defects found are correctly documented and resolved appropriately.
• Continually look for ways to improve the process of developing and releasing quality software which meets our customers needs.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• 4 years experience in quality engineering and software test development.
• Quick Test Pro
• 2-3 years experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Hands-on automation experience.
• Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting on distributed applications that utilize relational databases and OLAP tools such as SQL Server Analysis Services.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong software design verification and test development instincts and creativity.
• Solid understanding of software development processes and a strong drive to continually improve them.
• BS required.
• Incumbent must pass background check.
