3-5 years experience in Quality, specifically applied to manufacturing/production environment.

Summary:
This position will actively support and sustain the programs of the Quality Management System as well as actively contribute to continual improvement of Production and Supplier Quality. This position will also provide support to customers through feedback derived from Service and Sales activity.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Support and improve all aspects of the Quality Management System per ISO 2000:9001
Perform 1st article and receiving inspections to blue prints, and per PED requirements
Perform in-process inspections of shop floor operations for trouble-shooting purposes
Proficient in the use of standard metrology tools used to gage height, depth, and dimensions
Process non-conforming material (NCM) derived from shop and receiving department rejection
Transact all NCM material through MK confidently, including RTV and Scrap transactions
Maintain the calibration program for all measuring and test equipment, including documentation
Maintain all quality records with an impeccable level of organization, facilitating easy retrieval
Read and understand Polycold drawings, prints, procedures, CA documents, and industry standards
Develop and maintain Excel spreadsheets and generate graphs to display collected data
Apply statistical process control analysis to observed trends
Write and implement quality procedures and instructions
Develop system/product validation and qualification testing to support quality related investigations
Survey/audit suppliers to ensure quality compliance, and be able to assist suppliers with NCM issues
Investigate to the root-cause level efficiently and to write appropriate corrective actions
Facilitate resolution of corrective actions that lead to product improvement and preventive actions
Perform other tasks as required

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Be solution orientated, diplomatic, positive, and neutral between all departments
Maintain a calm and professional demeanor during periods of extreme stress
Ability to uphold quality requirements in the face of strong opposition
Strong computer skills required, including aptitude to learn new software
Strong English reading, writing skills and strong math skills in both Metric and English systems
Strong analytical skills applicable to trouble-shooting and problem solving
Strong skills in measurement and gage, including ability to read blue prints
Familiar and proficient with statistical process control mathematics
Must maintain acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer's sole discretion
Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing to comply with all safety laws and all of the employer's safety policies and rules and must be willing to report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel
