Description
This intermediate-level professional is a qualified individual producer who applies a broad knowledge of technical concepts, practices and Quality procedures.

  • Test and inspect various items of electronic equipment that has been produced within the manufacturing environment.

  • Provide production support in response to field trouble reports and monitor production application performance.

  • Performs testing of product. Follows detailed test procedures to perform all required testing. Tests incoming product-include physical inspection. Meets individual and department production goals.

  • Proactive, team player to work with Production to test and troubleshoot electronic enclosures.

  • Develops test procedures and performs routine to moderately complex engineering evaluation tests, product and process capability studies, quality audits, product or project data reviews, and other engineering evaluation work to assure product manufacturability.

  • Provides technical assistance in appropriate manufacturing and inspection areas.

  • Characterizes and implements proper controls on all processes.

  • Interacts with design agencies, suppliers, and internal organizations to assist in resolving design, development, production, and acceptance issues.

  • Prepares Quality evaluation reports, analyzes discrepancies, makes recommendations for and initiates improvements for product, test equipment, procedures, and manufacturing or operating processes that improve productivity and quality and reduce flow time.
    Evaluates opportunities for defect prevention and implements preventive corrective actions.
  • Proficient in writing skills to produce inspection / manufacturing documents.

    Incumbents are competent to work on complex assignments and perform various production activities.

  • This position will be responsible for new product.
  • Requires test plan development, software/hardware development, product debug, and release to production.
  • Responsibility also include maintaining both production and characterization test programs.
