JOB DESCRIPTION
Work Shift: 1st shift

Weekend Coverage: Weekend coverage is required.

On Call: Needs to be on-call

Years Experience: 3-5 years

Travel Required: Travel is required.



Sendmail & SMTP

Compile and Installation of Sendmail on AIX and Linux

- Compiling Sendmail with MILTER< SMTPAUTH, CYRUS SASL, NEWDB, STARTTLS, OPENSSL Sendmail Configuration

- Configuration of virtuser, mailertable, host, alias and access files and databases

- Defining Mailers

- Defining and updating Sendmail Rule Sets

- Experience with updating Sendmail rule sets including:

check_relay, chek_mail, check_rcpt, check_cmopat rule sets, rule set 1, 2 (sender/recipient address), rule set 3 (canonify), rule set 4 (final), rule set 5 (localaddr), rule set 95 (MailertoTripple i.e. hack of proto.mr)

- Definition of custom Sendmail Rules

- Understanding of LHS/RHS pattern matching and tokenizing of addresses

- Functionality and load testing of Sendmail

- Configuring queue groups / split queues

- Sendmail performance tuning and troubleshooting Milter - Compiling Mail Filters (Milter)

- C milters

- milter-regexp milters

SMTPAuth & startTLS implementations

Sender Policy Framework & DKIM

Networking and Directory Services

BIND DNS

Install and Configuration including:

- Installation of ISC BIND version 9

- Configuration and maintenance of master and slave zone files

- MX record definitions, SPF TXT record definitions

- Configuration of caching only name servers

- Configuration of advanced BIND features. Including IXFR, Forwarding, nonrecursive name servers

- Debugging and tuning BIND

- RNDC

TCPIP (especially layer 7 and effects of layer 7 filtering) Stunnel - Configuration of Secure Network Tunnels LDAP Anti-spam

Symantec Brightmail Antispam

- configuration of Brightmail as both a control center and scanner only

- experience with troubleshooting BM Agent, server, conduit, client and harverster

Experience with whitelists, blacklists, honey pots and reputation services

False positive testing

Functionality and load testing

Anit-virus

Trend IMSS (Internet Messaging Security Suite)

- Configuration as both a proxy and Sendmail sandwhich mode

- IMSS versions 5.5, 5.7 and 7.0

- Implementing custom rules & settings

TMCM (Trend Micro Control Manager)

Functionality and load testing of IMSS and TMCM Programming / Scripting / Tools

M4 Macro Language Processor (utilized to develop Configure tool)

AIX/Linux Shell Scripting

Perl, PERL H2PH (conversion of C headers into Perl headers)

PHP

Java

LIRE

Database

Operating Systems

AIX 5.3
