Description
The RF Engineer position will manage the design process from specification to final product including:Create a block diagram and schematic from a system/subsystem requirement or specification.Model and analyze using commercially available software and spreadsheets.Evaluate and select components (including "make or buy" decisions for components including power amplifiers, antennas, transmission line).Breadboard high-risk circuitry as required.Direct the printed circuit board layout and fabrication process.Test the hardware against the specification and redesign as necessary. Participate in the system integration of hardware and software process.. Specify and evaluate system components including power amplifiers, antennas, transmission line and connectors.EDUCATION REQUIRED: Must posses a B.S.E.E. with approximately 5 to 10 years of experience relating to RF subsystem development. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Circuit card design capabilities must include: AGC circuits, phased-lock loops, RF input chains, IF chains, frequency converters, lumped element filters, surface mount technology. Subsystem analysis capabilities must include: Dynamic Range, IMD, gain distributions, leakage rejection, thermal drift, component specification generation.
