Description
Typical responsibilities may include: Model coil designs. Work with mechanical engineering and ensure an adequate mechanical housing is created. Document the development of the project (i.e. drawings, schematics, experiments, changes, test results, data, etc.) Gather FDA data and assist in FDA submission technical requirements. Generate failure modes and effects analysis, complete set of engineering drawings as per guidelines,
manufacturing instructions, a product follower sheet with QA procedures and
technical input to the operator's manual.

Advanced responsibilities may include: Product conception (original / self-conceived). Build a clinical prototype and prove feasibility, functionality and image superiority over competitive coils. Ensure that customer feedback is recorded and incorporated into the design and feasibly
executed. (i.e. mechanical design for operator convenience, FOV, SNR,
uniformity, etc.) Promote, educate and train proper engineering and scientific practice throughout the department.

Experience/Skills
BS EE/Physics/Biomed Eng. 2+ years in the design of RF (HF and/or VHF) and analog electronics circuits and systems. Design, modeling and simulation tools, i.e. NEC, Fast Henry, PSpice, Protel, RF PCB design. Effective communication skills.

Pluses: PhD/MS with concentration in RF electronics. RF coil design. Antenna
design. Clinical knowledge /understanding of biomedical imaging.

Other desired skills:
