Description
Solectron Corporation is seeking an RF Hardware Design Engineer to design cellular basestation radio modules and/or datacom (wired or wireless - 802.11a/b/g, 802.16a/d) products from a system/board architecture level using state of the art components, processes, and manufacturing technology. The candidate will lead the hardware design efforts of high-speed RF and digital boards, ASICs, and FPGA firmware to insure cost effective solutions. The successful candidate will provide global leadership to hardware design and layout teams to implement and deliver specific hardware design requirements on time and within budget. This position is located in Research Triangle Park (RTP), NC.

This position requires a BSEE or MSEE and a minimum of 7+ years design and systems development experience of Cellular RF (wired or wireless - 802.11a/b/g, 802.16a/d) and telecommunication using AMD/Intel/Freescale/IBM processors and current state of the art chipsets (Broadcom, Marvell, AMCC, TI, etc.). The successful candidate will have strong customer and vendor interface skills combined with board, ASIC, FPGA and Verilog Design experience. Candidate must have proven experience using CAD/layout design tools (Cadence, Mentor, UniCAD). Candidate should be fluent with current design techniques, component technologies, design synthesis, simulation, verification, and have solid experience leading multi-site teams.df-tc
