Description
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

Program two-way radios.

Install mobile communications equipment in all types of vehicles to Tomba Communications Inc. standards, equipment includes but not limited to two-way radios, antenna systems, mobile data equipment and mobile video equipment

Ability to assemble various types of RF connectors on different types of RF cable utilizing both crimp and solder connectors, excellent soldering skills are required

Work in a team environment on large projects to complete programming, cabling, connector installation, and system optimization in a timely manner

Provide written documentation on all systems

Attend regular safety meetings in accordance with the Tomba Communications Inc. Safety Program

Must keep work environment clean, and safe from all hazards
Computer Skills:

Proficient with Windows 2000/XP/98 and MS DOS

Ability to learn new applications quickly

Use of PC based applications to program and diagnose various types of communications equipment

Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel to create and edit documentation
Qualifications:

Clean driving record and valid drivers license.

Self Motivated

Customer service oriented and professional in appearance

Must be willing and able to work after normal business hours

Ability to work alone and be able to evaluate the work completed to assure its quality.

Work in a safe and effective manner, keeping work area clean at all times

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Education and Experience Requirements:

One year experience in a mobile electronics installation and maintenance environment or equivalent experience

Installer certification a plus
