TITLE: ROSC MANAGER DEPARTMENT: Information Technology
Location: JCPenney SSC, Lathrop, CA


I. BASIC FUNCTION:
Manages the functional activities of the Remote Operations Support Center (ROSC) around the clock to ensure consistent service to the
user, and interfaces with the Data Center Manager and the Information Technology Control Center (ITCC) to ensure production schedules
are met, and project work is completed correctly.

II. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manages the operational and technical environment to ensure consistent service to the user.
2. Coordinates activities with the Data Center and the ITCC as required to ensure schedules are met and project work is completed
correctly.
3. Interfaces with client departments to understand needs and to communicate as appropriate.
4. Oversees accessibility and maintenance of hardware at all levels within the Data Center, ensures problems are quickly resolved,
escalation occurs as appropriate, and ensures all input and output schedules are met.
5. Ensures a properly trained staff is in place to provide optimum efficiency of the center.

III. KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
1. Works closely with local client management to ensure special requests and scheduling needs are coordinated.
2. Coordinates with vendors to ensure all commitments and escalated problems are handled in a timely manner.
3. Works with local technical support groups and the ITCC to ensure coordination of installations and repairs.
4. Works with IT Human Resources to ensure follow through on all HR and administration concerns.

Additional qualifications:

College degree or 6-8 years of progressively more responsible IT experience within JCPenney. Must have excellent written and oral communications, negotiating, and leadership skills. Must be able to manage multiple people and projects over multiple shifts. Strong understanding of networking, PC's, and budgeting. Must be able to work flexible hours with pager on call coverage 24X7.df-tc
