Description
Incumbent will be responsible for producing, managing, development and distribution of U.S. Navy Own Forces RF Systems and associated data. Incumbent will additionally be responsible for providing production oversight and product quality control, either directly or by supervising subordinates. Product distribution will be broadly across the U.S. Navy to a wide range of consumers, and also throughout the joint community. Engineer candidates for this position should have a strong background in RF Systems (e.g., RADAR and Communications Systems) transmitter, receiver, and antenna theory, design, and operations. Analyst candidates for this position should have a strong background in electronic intelligence (ELINT) including signal collection, analysis, and reporting. Experience in DOD EW databases with emphasis on Electronic Warfare Integrated Reprogrammable database is desired. The incumbent will routinely interact with senior U.S. Navy military and civilian staff, and their counterparts in the greater DOD community. Accordingly, candidates should have a thorough understanding of DOD organization relevant to acquisition, development, fielding, and management of RF Systems.
Education: Engineer candidates for this position should have an electronics engineering degree or a degree in a closely related technical field. Analyst candidates for this position should have technical training in military ELINT analysis and related military operations. Alternative education may include electronics engineering courses, and related training on RADAR and communications systems.
Requirements: Candidates should be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of tools and have a management-level understanding of database theory, design, and operation. Candidates should be able to write and speak clearly to succinctly convey complex ideas to senior staff.
Experience: Candidates for this position must have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in ELINT, database development, or DOD RF Systems, and a minimum of 2 years relevant experience with U.S. Navy RF Systems.
Travel: Some travel (approximately 5% - 10%) will be required.
DoD Top Secret / SCI clearance is required in order to begin work. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.df-tc
