Construction Program Group is licensed nationwide and open to all agents and brokers.

Currently, we have an excellent career opportunity available for a Regional Safety Manager in our New York, NY location.

Description of duties & responsibilities: This is a working management position in addition to managing the Eastern Region, this individual will be responsible for providing safety services to our clients:

* Conducts on-site safety surveys, assisting clients in compliance with safety standards.
Coordinates safety services requirements with underwriters and submits reports of findings.
* Provides safety training for insured, provides assistance in development of specific hazard programs, and makes recommendations for updates to client Safety and Security Program manual.
* Participates in meetings as required.
* Builds and maintains productive relationships with clients, underwriting and service teams, broker/agent community, claim department and other staff.
* Responsible for maintaining current knowledge of regulatory, environment and emerging safety issues.


Minimum work experience required: 8 years as safety specialist with insurance carrier, MGA, or broker, providing service to construction clients with multi-state ISO general liability and commercial automobile, as well workers compensation coverage. Prior management position highly desirable.

Special skills required:

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

* Qualified candidates will have a bachelor?s degree in a technical discipline.
* 8+ years experience in insurance company loss control and/or construction industry safety management - ideal candid will have both. Background should include project management experience with a construction firm or broker/insurance experience with a major construction insurance market.
* PE in Civil Engineering and/or CSP is preferred.
* Experienced in producing work on a personal computer; proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Driving record and valid driver?s license that would allow for driving on company business including overnight travel within and outside of assigned region.

Minimum education required: Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
