The Disney Interactive Media Group (DIMG) is responsible for global creation and delivery of Disney-branded entertainment and lifestyle content across all interactive media platforms including PCs, mobile phones and video game consoles. The division operates two content creation units, Disney Interactive Studios and Disney Online, which work together to take advantage of platform-specific expertise to create a line of connected, multi-platform entertainment experiences. Disney Interactive Studios self publishes and distributes a broad portfolio of video games and interactive entertainment for handheld, mobile and console platforms globally. Disney Online produces the No. 1 kids entertainment and family community Web site, Disney.com as well as the Disney Family Network, Disney mobile entertainment and an industry leading suite of online virtual worlds for kids and families. DIMG also provides interactive technology strategy, solutions and execution for The Walt Disney Company.
DISNEY INTERACTIVE STUDIOS - (POSITION WILL BE BASED IN CHICAGO, ILLINOIS)
Disney Interactive Studios (DIS) is the interactive entertainment affiliate of the Walt Disney Company. Disney Interactive Studios develops, publishes, markets and distributes a broad portfolio of video games on multiple platforms for audiences of all ages.

Our family of studios includes Propaganda Games in Vancouver, British Columbia, which developed Turok, based on the highly popular franchise; Fall Line Studio in Salt Lake City, which develops titles for Nintendo DS and Wii; Avalanche Software, also in Salt Lake City, focused on creating innovative games based on original intellectual property and Disney animated feature films; and our Brighton, UK studio, Black Rock Studio, known for developing award-winning titles and best selling racing games. Recently, we acquired Junction Point Studios in Austin, Texas headed by industry visionary Warren Spector.
MID-WEST REGIONAL SALES MANAGER - CHICAGO, ILLINOIS

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual net sales targets within the region on all DIS products and programs.
  • Increase DIS retail presence by securing and holding additional shelf space and display space via Disney branded sections and permanent displays.
  • Update the organization with weekly sales appointment recaps, competitive information, sell through, territory trends, and ideas that will grow our business.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual forecasts to include sales by account, by title, by units, by dollars and by co-op/placement expenses.
  • Prospect your region for new revenue opportunities within your current account base or new accounts.
  • Meet and establish rapport with account contacts including VP/Dir of Merchandising, Buyers, Asst Buyers, Marketing, Inventory Planners, Accounting, etc.
  • Establish Disney Interactive Studios as a leading supplier of Entertainment software within your territory.
    EDUCATION:
    4 Year College Degree or a combination of related experience and education.
    REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
    4 to 6 years of Video Game Console and Computer Software Sales Experience. Focus on experience with Mid-West based retail and distributor accounts (K-Mart, Sears, Meijer, Shopko, Jack of All Games, etc.) Candidate must be based in the Chicago area.
