  • Position Overview:Our startup team in San Francisco is looking for a QA-focused Release Engineer to help us develop and deploy novel security technologies. The ideal candidate is a software-configuration-management and QA guru who can handle both the technical challenges of complex software branching and UNIX automation, as well as the process and management challenges of ensuring quality builds.This candidate would join the BD team at Macrovision (www.macrovision.com/company/7822_7837.htm). We work in a fast-paced, small-team environment to analyze attacks used to pirate Blu-ray content, develop countermeasures using the innovative BD technology, and build the infrastructure necessary to deploy and test these countermeasures.We are located next to the Montgomery BART Station and a few blocks from CalTrain.Responsibilities:* Maintain Perforce source control and handle branching/integration* Define and manage the QA/Testing processes to qualify builds* Develop automation to assist in packaging, delivery, and QA of builds* Approve builds for release to productionRequirements:* Expert in using source code control for complex tasks* Familiar with C and the GNU tool chain, including gcc and make* Familiar with Python and/or shell-scripting* Software QA mindset - organized, methodical, and committed to qualityNice to have:* Familiar with Perforce* Familiar with Jira and Confluence* Familiar with UNIX system administration and/or programmingdf-tc
