Job Title: Release Manager (Senior Application Administrator)
# of Positions: 2
Job Location: Portsmouth, NH
Job Duration: Full-time employee
Salary: $65 - $75K DOE
Relocation Assistance: On a case by case basis
Will transfer visa: No

Key Responsibilities:
o Manages and executes release and build processes for QA
, Sales, Production Lab, Customer Test and Production systems.
o Sets up new application environments.
o Facilitates and incorporates post-upgrade lessons learned to improve processes.
o Understands system architecture and capabilities and is able to effectively troubleshoot compile and build failures.
o Implements quality procedures to ensure effectiveness, including peer reviews of scripts and queries.
o Prepares and maintains procedure checklists to ensure successful environment set ups and upgrades/releases.

Required Qualifications:
o Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
o 3+ years experience as a release engineer.
o Familiar with standard concepts, best practices and procedures for release management.
o Experience with build automation tools such as ANT or CruiseControl.
o Experience with UNIX and shell scripting.
o Strong organizational and communications skills.
o Experience with or knowledge of PERL, programming (Java, J2EE), and DB2 are a plus, as is exposure to XML, Apache and Tomcat.
