Description
The Remarketing Analyst supports the GMAC vehicle remarketing activities within a defined business center, with key focus on the Regional Business Center obtaining their total remarketing revenue target. Under general supervision by the Regional Remarketing Sales Manager, the Remarketing Analyst will primarily function as part of the RBC sales team and will equip, train, and coach individuals to meet or exceed their remarketing revenue targets. Daily responsibilities will include developing dealer, auction, and fleet opportunities, increasing the number of non-GM dealers buying on SmartAuctionOpen and GM dealers buying and selling on SmartAuction. The Remarketing Analyst will also be responsible for attending local or national meetings and conventions, and for developing and managing special projects as requested by the management of their business center, regional office, or the Regional Remarketing Sales Manager.

Time Spent: Major Duties and Responsibilities:

40% Coaching, equipping, and enabling the business center sales team to meet or exceed the remarketing revenue target.

30% Represent GMAC remarketing as the primary interface with non-GM dealers, auctions, and fleet companies. Develop and implement projects and programs designed to enhance GMAC’s position within related business segments that will generate incremental remarketing revenue.

20% Manage and maximize GMAC’s remarketing revenue opportunities and products (i.e., SmartAuction, SmartAuction Direct, SmartLane, SmartAuctionOpen, etc.).
10% Supply remarketing ad-hoc reports and information to management.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· 1-2 years experience in a remarketing sales environment
· Business related college degree or equivalent training
· Strong knowledge of PC applications including MS Office
· Thorough understanding of dealership used vehicle retail and wholesale operations
· Prior physical auction experience beneficial
· High level of oral and written communication skills
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills
· High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
· Strong organizational and planning skills
· Ability to present to large groups and executive levels
· Ability to work, coach, and motivate in a team environment
· Ability to travel locally or overnight on a regular basis – territory spans five states (Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Tennessee, and Kentucky).
· Ability to work overtime as needed
· Mobile or willingness to relocate as neededdf-tc
