The University of California, Berkeley, is the preeminent public university in the country. We’re also one of the leading employers in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are currently seeking a Remedy Administrator/Developer in Information Services and Technology.

 

The Information Services and Technology (IST) Department of the University of California, Berkeley, provides centrally managed hardware and software computing resources in support of the University’s academic and administrative customers.

This position is a member of IST's Service Desk and provides advanced technical support for the Remedy v7 system hosted by IST. The incumbent will be responsible for providing both advanced administrative and development support for the Remedy AR System Server and ISTM Suite. The successful candidate should be expertly proficient with the Remedy AR System Server and ISTM Suite tools, as well as development methodology.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Administer and develop forms, fields, menus, and workflows in Remedy

·         Provide 2nd/3rd level support for customers experiencing problems with their Remedy accounts

·         Build AR System filters and active links to automate responses to user actions and enforce business rules 

·         Provide training and guidance on all aspects of the AR System Server and ITSM Suite (Help Desk, Change Management, Asset Management, and Service Level Management)

·         Troubleshoot complex issues regarding forms, workflows, and log files in Remedy

·         Participate in rolling out Remedy-related services for new campus customers

·         Supervise the design and automation of customized reports to meet management needs

·         Coordinate the resolution of issues requiring BMC support

·         Perform other related duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

·         Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining an enterprise

·         Experience with the Remedy IT Service Management Suite solution

·         Demonstrated experience in the implementation of customized enterprise Remedy solutions

·         Experience upgrading from Remedy AR System Release 5/6 to 7

·         Previous database experience (SQL/Oracle)

·         Experience with a Unix-based operating system (Solaris/Linux)

·         Ability to work with a range of customers, from novice to advanced

·         Ability to liaison with internal technical staff and outside vendors

 

Preferred:

·         Minimum of 2-5 years of experience with the Remedy Action Request System (Releases 5-7) and programming using the Remedy Language in a medium-sized organization

·         Minimum of 1-2 years of experience with MVS and BMC Control-M

·         Minimum of 1-2 years of experience integrating Remedy with enterprise management applications

·         Minimum of 1-2 years of experience with BMC Atrium CMDB

·         ITIL Foundation Certified

The annual salary range for this position is $59,676 - $111,636. Although the full salary range is indicated, generally offers will not exceed the midpoint of the range ($85,656) and will be commensurate with experience.
