Overview:
Responsible for the design, development, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of applications to satisfy the requirements of one or more user areas. May include hands-on new development as well as support, maintenance or enhancement of existing applications. Works closely with client management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes. Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and makes recommendations.

Role:
. Thorough knowledge of Remedy ARS development environment for v7.1 or higher (Remedy API is a plus)
. Minimum of 4 years Remedy development experience
. Disciplined approach to Remedy Object identification and configuration control (Version Control) including knowledge of Remedy Migrator (experience with IBM Rational ClearCase is a plus)
. Ability to translate requirements into a well architected/integrated Remedy solution
. Working knowledge of the Remedy ITSM 7 suite of applications, such as Problem, Incident, Service Request, Change and Assetmanagement, etc.
. Experience with AIX/UNIX platforms (IBM DB2 skills are a plus)
. Experience with web skills - Remedy Mid-tier running on IBM WebSphere
. Self-starter with ability to get work done independently
. ITIL Foundation concepts for CMDB, Problem, Incident and
Service Request management.
. Strong communication skills
. Minimum of 4 years Remedy development experience is desired
. Remedy certification and ITIL Foundation Certification a plus!

Experience/Skills
- This department builds and decommissions servers. Servers currently live in Europe, rolling out in the USA.
- This position is for a Remedy Developer/Administrator
- Knowledge of the Remedy Action Request System (known as just Remedy)
- THOROUGH knowledge of Remedy (the in's and out's), preferably versions 5 - 7.5. 6 and 7.1 is essential. They are currently on 6.3.
- Experience required in configuration of the Remedy Administrator tool, the Import tool, the User tool, the Migrator tool, and the Mid-tier tool.
- Experience preferred with Remedy Flash Boards
- Knowledge of Business Objects is required
- Knowledge of Oracle Forms, Notes databases, and Crystal Reports is desired
- Operating Systems/Databases:
- Windows, Solaris, Linux (must haves)
- Shell Scripting experience required
- Oracle databases 10 and 11 required
- PL/SQL, SQL development tool required
- Oracle DBA skills required so they can interact with their DBA's
- knowledge of materialized views desired
- WebSphere desired
