We have an immediate need for a Report and Data Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION
Report and Data Analyst


This position will be responsible for developing and programming data marts, reports and extracts that will support Line of Business initiatives. Major challenges for this position include taking various business requests and architecting a reporting solution, learning new technologies and project/time management. Data and reports to be developed include SAS data marts and reports, flat files and web-based reports.

The individual must have a good working knowledge of SAS, SQL, OLAP programming languages. Knowledge of SAS is mandatory and a willingness to learn other reporting tools is important. Knowledge of SQL server and Analysis services is valuable but not mandatory. Self-directed, results oriented and proactive work style are important. An entrepreneurial spirit is valuable as we are embarking on a new report delivery model. A minimum of 5 years experience in ad-hoc and/or production report development is required.

Direct Job responsibilities:

-Taking business requirements for a report/extract and determining the proper data source and reporting tool to meet client objectives

-Major contributor in architecting BI reporting solution - data marts, OLAP cubes, stored processes, etc.

-Understand the use of data marts and leverage existing data marts for reporting

-Identifying the proper reporting tool to meet client needs

-Designing SAS stored processes for client use in SAS Enterprise Guide and SAS excel add-in

-Building SAS production reports; static and parameter driven

-Designing and building data marts and/or OLAP cubes

-Communicating with client and management on progress of report/data requests

-Work with the development and production team to create production processes for data mart creation (ETL) and report processes
