Additional Skills - Thorough knowledge and experience with OO Analysis and Design, RUP methodology, Modeling Language and tools including UML and Rational Rose.
- In-depth knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture, OO methodology, web performance architecture, plus development languages and topics including C#, ASP.Net, VB.Net, WinForms, WebForms, Javascript, XML and DOM/XSLT as well as depth of experience with the .NET platform.

Vice President, Application Development

Primary Responsibilities include:
- Planning, managing and directing all activities related to the systems development life cycle on all development and enhancement projects for high availability, high volume transaction applications.
- Utilizing expert knowledge of moving data across multiple platforms, familiarity with high
transaction driven applications and performing query functions on multiple platforms.
- Overseeing all aspects of staff management and providing direction to multiple software
engineering groups. This includes specific guidance, assistance and recommendations on project planning and definition, identification of interfaces and dependencies, project structure and resource assignment, etc.
- Directly or indirectly support applications for one or more business divisions.
- Acting as a senior member of a team to define enterprise object oriented application architecture, analyze and design application systems at the highest level of complexity.
- Responsibility for staff career development, performance evaluations and developing team
member skills by mentoring technical team members.
- Handling overall program management, project prioritization and issue resolution in conjunction with senior client management.
- Proactively responds to all types of business needs including cost reduction, productivity
improvement, regulatory compliance and business expansion.
- Providing impact analysis and presentations.
A successful candidate will have:
- The ability to set up and lead a code review process and coding standards as well as leading complex portions of architecture and design.
- Strong knowledge of project management and systems development methods and practices including full development lifecycle in a multi-platform environment.
- A BA or BS degree (math or computer science preferred) or technical training equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in working directly with all levels of line staff, analysts, team leaders, and department managers in multiple sites and time zones and in a matrix resource management environment.
- Strong background in client relationship management including problem management and crisis management skills.
- Knows and understands the balance of meeting requirements and over-engineering.
- Efficient utilization of resources for project related activity, looking beyond resources under direct management for specialist skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The ideal candidate may also possess:
- An MBA or MS degree (math or computer science preferred) or technical training equivalent.
- Knowledge of Mortgage Banking (Origination) or Financial Services.
- Knowledge of Intranet/Internet systems development methods and practices.
- Strong experience with staff development in a multicultural environment (coaching, performance evaluation, disciplinary counseling, hiring, and goal setting) to include team building and performance recognition leadership.
- Able to delegate effectively and hire strong resources as well as make resource-leveling
decisions between projects, based on strategic objectives and business priorities.
