Applied Technology Analysts facilitate the planning and execution of experiments that explore the feasibility and utility of new information technology-based tools to current, pressing intelligence needs. The Applied Technology Analysts work with government and other contractor personnel to take real-world scenarios and appropriate data sets and develop scenarios for experimentation. These skills are important not only for dealing with the participating Government agencies but also for dealing with other company team members and participating subcontractors.

Furthermore, analysts are expected to be familiar with all applications included in experiments but have strong working knowledge of tools and accompanying data sets for their specific, assigned experiment activities at the IATF. They are also expected to participate in technology demonstrations and presentations relevant to experiment topics as requested by the site lead and program manager.
