Job description:
An immediate full-time position is available for a dynamic IT Resource Manager in the Los Angeles area for a growing software vendor providing a unique suite of software solutions.

An immediate full-time position is available for a dynamic IT Resource Manager with a growing software vendor providing a unique suite of software solutions to the healthcare industry.

The incumbent in this position will have a successful background in IT Resource Management with a software or IT consulting firm, developing the team "bench" to ensure the ability to quickly and appropriately staff projects.

Ideal experience will include strategic management of software and services implementation projects as it relates to human and infrastructure resource estimation, allocation and deployment. Also, relevant experience with operations, contracting, invoicing, workflow, budget and timelines with a software or services firm will be helpful in this role.

The success of each project and the Project Management Office as a whole will be inextricably linked to the successful working relationship of the Resource Manager with internal and external customers such as the Project Director, field based Implementation Consultants, Engineering, Human Resources, the Sales team and external clients and customers.

In a collaborative effort with your team and clients, you will forecast needs, allocate and deploy resources, manage communication, manage and optimize staff field Implementation Consultants and Project Managers (e.g., skill mix, technology expertise, locales, etc) for current and forecasted software implementation projects. You will assist in the on-going forecast/outlook process by analyzing comparisons between forecast/scheduling tool/Actual; monitor ability to achieve plan hours and utilization and assist in managing headcount based on client needs and available hours.

In this role you will need an excellent combination of communication, documentation, interpersonal skills, as well as having the ability to see the big picture. Proactive in identifying means to improve the resource management process. You will also have experience using relevant software tools to accomplish your objectives such as MS Project, Visio and Excel.

Meet with Sales, PSG Project Director, and Project Managers to discuss staffing requirements for their clients, and to gain an understanding of specific engagement needs and deadlines.

Provide support as needed on a daily basis regarding staffing issues/concerns.

Delegate projects/tasks as appropriate to enhance developmental opportunities.

Train users on the scheduling tool policies and procedures specific to the role.

Meet as needed with PSG Leadership and/or HR to discuss people or client matters, present conflicts/issues and potential solutions to pending items.

Must be able to identify solutions to staffing issues based on client, engagement team and personnel variables, and be comfortable communicating and supporting their decision with all involved.
