Summary:

This position is part of the IT Professional Services organization in Information Technology. Specifically, this position serves as the lead for the resource planning and administration staff and activities to support the IT Professional Services organization. The responsibilities include developing and reporting metrics for a large (100+) team of IT professionals to drive utilization, long-term staff planning and financial objectives. This position will also provide support to overall employee development process. Individual must have strong leadership, follow-through and communication skills. He/she must have project planning experience, be familiar with professional service organizationsâ?? operations, have experience with financial reporting and staff development.

Responsibilities:

Staff Planning and Financial Reporting
  • Maintains the group staff forecast and reports results to Resource Managers and Director
  • Creates and publishes operational metrics for headcount, contractor vs perm ratios, utilization, efficiency, etc â?? weekly/monthly, quarterly
  • Creates and publishes financial metrics (act/fcst/bud) â?? monthly/quarterly
  • Assists in the identification, documentation and implementation of new measurements and reporting on them
  • Manages and forecasts overall training budget - quarterly
  • Creates weekly financial forecasts â?? weekly/quarterly
  • Works with finance partner to develop forecast and review act vs bud variances â?? monthly/quarterly
  • Maintains strategic planning worksheet (supply vs project demand spreadsheet) â?? monthly
  • Reports on long-term resource shortfalls
    Employee Development Support
  • Assists in the management and tracking of employee skills and competencies. Reports on that information.
  • Follows up on missing employee feedback
  • Compiles employee feedback from various sources, in support of the resource managersâ?? review processes
  • Assists in the creation of surveys polling the opinions of the group
  • May require overtime at quarter end and during review times (mid year and end of year)
    Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of relative business experience required.
  • Must have experience in preparing financial plans, budgets and reports.
  • Must be highly organized and self-motivated.
  • Must have strong communication skills; ability to influence peers and superiors.
  • Must have experience working with geographically dispersed teams.
  • Bachelorâ??s Degree in Business Management (or related field) or equivalent work experience required.
  • Skills in managing multiple and often conflicting priorities. Must have proven success managing in matrix environments.
  • Ability to deliver under pressure and with short timelines; strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • People management experience highly preferred.
