ACS Healthcare’s Outsourcing Division specializes in managing IT organizations for Healthcare providers nationwide. We have an opening for a McKesson STAR Application Analyst who has experience with the McKesson STAR Patient Accounting system in a health care setting. This position is located at one of our long-term client engagements in the Central Connecticut area. Candidates located in Connecticut or who are willing to relocate will be given priority consideration. These are full time, outsourcing positions located at the Hospital.
The primary function of this position is to lead and support McKesson STAR Patient Accounting applications.Application Analysts work with the client’s departments and ACS Healthcare Data Center staff to support a full suite of STAR applications, and other legacy applications and technological solutions to meet the goals of the organization.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will possess the following: At least 1 year’s work experience with implementing and supporting McKesson STAR applications.

Experience as a systems and/or support analyst, and/or previous healthcare and/or project management experience.Includes both implementation and ongoing support experience.
Experience in patient accounting, registration and patient management modules within STAR required.
Experience with E-Premise preferred.
Experience with Cerner Charge Services a plus.
Excellent interpersonal skills, (both verbal and written), as well as excellent organizational skills.
Strong customer service focus to build and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Ability to work on your own, with solid problem solving skills.
Ability to work effectively with both non-technical and technical staff and vendors.
Experience with healthcare informatics and/or application development.
Experience with MS office software, and Microsoft operating environments.
Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent in educational and/or work experience.
